Our Story

Crown Heights North is one of Brooklyn’s most architecturally and culturally rich neighborhoods. Known for its historic brownstones, diverse communities, and vibrant culture, the area has long been a cornerstone of Brooklyn’s history.
CHNA was formed to ensure that this unique heritage is preserved while also addressing the needs of today’s residents. Our advocacy contributed to the designation of Crown Heights North as a New York City Historic District, helping to safeguard the neighborhood’s character for generations to come.
