Rat Academy Training

On October 29th, the Lincoln Civic Block Association, the Local Development Corporation of Crown Heights, and the Crown Heights North Association co-hosted a well-attended “Rat Academy” training session, bringing together building superintendents, homeowners and tenants for a practical, candid discussion about rodent prevention in our neighborhood. Together, we reviewed how to identify rodent entry points, maintain proper sanitation, and partner with fellow residents and city services—turning what might seem like an individual building issue into a community-wide effort. With the city’s dense, older housing stock, this collaborative approach felt not just useful, but essential, and left many in the room feeling empowered to keep our blocks cleaner, safer and rodent-free.
